So there is a three day beer festival in Silverton, OR this weekend. Lots of Oregon-based microbreweries will be there but the heavy hitters will be names like Fort George (Astoria), Alameda (Portland), Gilgamesh (Salem), Ninkasi (Eugene), Seven Brides (Silverton), Pale Horse (Salem), and Pelican (Pacific City). If any other Oregonians are out there, come on out. I’d be sad to miss it.
Damn, it’s good to be back. Good brew, good times.
Q: “What’s your favorite beer? I know there’s so many, but ill just ask about the ones that matter to me… What is your favorite Ale = Pale Ale, Wheat, aaannnnddd my two favorite beer categories EVER, IPA and last but not least Hefeweizen? Also whats your favorite Lager = Dunkel Lager, Pale Lager, and Bock? (pale lager’s are the bomb.) Thought this would be an interesting question for another beer lover.”

Going to catch some brew now. Sharing this list again for the beer lovers out there.
Could you go for a cold one? How about a cold green one?
Ah, yes. For my personal list, check here.
I made another beer video (Sam Adams Imperial Stout), but the pouring when badly… again, so should I post it? I feel like a newb.

political-linguaphile, photographic proof of beer adventures! See those Oregon brews!
In light of the fall season coming into Mississippi, I figured it about time to resume a once rewarding form of therapy, Blogging with Sam Adams. We’ve gotten along wonderfully in the past and I suppose today whilst starring at him he finally had the courage to admit he missed me too. To the ole chap I said “Come along old man, we’ve got catching up to do.” So here we are, welcoming the fall season with a bit of imperialism, well, not really, because the Imperial Stout isn’t an atrocity—it’s definitely a gift. Sam and I take this beer business seriously, as you can see from the look on my face. So cheers mates, have one with me. You just better enjoy it.

My gosh I’m having so many good conversations tonight I think I’m as giddy as, well, I dunno, as me in a beer store.
Catching up on some news and reading tonight, but with my trusty companion Abita Andygator—also known as 22ounces of doppelbock heaven.
Oh, followers, those who want to know more about me, I am a bit of a beer guy. Here is a post I made some time ago of some excellent beers I’ve had throughout my travels. Links to each beer are embedded.

Not too bad. The mouth-feel isn’t quite where it should be and I’d like a stronger coffee aroma. I think I’ll start brewing this summer. Should be fun. Beer and politics, perfect.
Edit: This porter is much better at room temp. I’m talking to myself about beer on my own blog. Whoa.
